clean up

The Bulwell Town Team, Friends of Bulwell Bogs and members of the community were part of the kind hearted ‘Clean of the Leen’ campaign in Bulwell on 21st November, where general litter was removed from the area.

The campaign turned out to be very worthwhile as over half a dozen bin bags were filled with rubbish which was removed by the Nottingham City Council Clean Team. The area has looked near spotless ever since!

Representatives from the Town Team included Trevor Coker and Ros Yousouf while Les Warren from Keep Britain Tidy was also in attendance and provided the equipment for the day.

Trevor Coker was proud of the community’s efforts to improve the area’s appearance.

“I think personally it was a great day and look forward to the next one. It’s great to see the businesses, community and volunteers all working together to make things better. It’s brilliant to get like-minded people who want to make a difference in cleaning such a wonderful asset that Bulwell has. The Town Team would like to thank all the volunteers for their time and efforts”.

The Bulwell Town Team will continue the campaign in the future and encourage members of the community to get involved. Well done guys!
