This job application and CV course includes information on how to complete a job application, paper job applications, online applications, and employer direct applications and how to create a winning CV worthy of an interview.The course will look into the importance of navigating the internet where there are thousands of sites where you can post your CV online and complete an online job application. Some sites let you upload an existing CV with the click of a button. On other sites, you can copy and paste or use a CV building wizard. You will also look at how to put together a generic and specific CV so you understand how to tailor yours depending upon the employer you are sending it to. Within the application part of the training you will look at the following:
In Person Job Applications – Many companies, especially retail and hospitality employers, expect applicants to apply in person. It is not as complicated as applying online, but you will need to be prepared to apply and interview on the spot.
Email Job Applications – When you are using email to apply for jobs, it is important that all your communications are as professional as they would be if you were mailing a paper resume and cover letter. Here is advice on how to submit job applications via email
